Ventalló is a small village located in the Alt Empordà, south of Figueres and a few kilometers away from La Escala, the ruins of Empuries and Sant Pere Pescador among other well known neighbouring villages. Its economy is mostly based to the stockbreeding and agriculture, especially olive trees from where a top-quality oil of Argudell and Arbequina is produced and that it can be bought from the same farmhouse where it is made.
Surrounded by fields, fruit trees, centennial olive trees and pine forests, in the north we can see the Pyrenees, in the south the Montgrí mountain that divides the Alt from the Baix Empordà and in the east the Mediterranean that together with the inevitable north wind, Tramontana, marks the lives of the people.
